Hearing Loss Support Group 2023

Hearing Loss Support Group next meeting 2:00 – 3:30pm

Tuesday 7 February: Speaker Claire Seago, Hearing Therapy Clinical Lead in Audiology, at Freeman Hospital will answer questions and give us an update

Upstairs in Shearers Bar, St. James’ Park, Strawberry Place, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 4ST

This venue is fully accessible and has lift access, we will have palantypist support. Booking is essential to allow us to plan the session

Tuesday 14 March:

Speaker is Annabel Caiger, Speech and Language Therapist by profession who now works locally as a Lip-reading Tutor

Tuesday 18 April:

Speaker Colin Foxton, Managing Director of Sarabec Ltd, a Middlesbrough based Hearing Product Supplier will talk about their product range

Tuesday 9 May:

Speaker Carly Simpson, Regional Adviser from Cued Speech UK will explain what Cued Speech is and how it helps communication

Tuesday 6 June:

Speaker Tony Murphy, Wireless Communications Specialist from Sonova UK Limited (Phonak) will talk about their products and how to use them

Tuesday 8 August:

Speaker Anni Humes from Salvation Army, Gateshead will talk about the work they do, the services they offer and the people they help

Dates with speakers/topics still to be confirmed:

Tuesday 12 September; Tuesday 3 October; Tuesday 14 November; Tuesday 5 December.
