Values

We want a society where no-one is excluded or discriminated against – especially not because of their hearing levels.  Nobody should be judged for who they are or what they believe.

We recognise the barriers that D/deaf people face on a daily basis. We recognise the lack of information and understanding about deafness in the hearing world.  We work to inform and educate.

We strongly believe in empowerment – strengthening and encouraging people to make their own choices about their life.  We do this by providing and sharing information in accessible formats.  Also the forums and events give people opportunities to learn – in their own language.

We work with the D/deaf communities to identify issues and common problems. We then work with the organisation/agency to try to resolve the issue to make sure it doesn’t continue.
