Right to Complain
If you are not happy with the service you get from Deaflink or something the staff have done then we would like you to tell us. We will work to understand what you are not happy about and if we can change it. If we can’t we will explain why?

Confidentiality and Data Protection
We have information about people who use our service. This is so we can contact them to tell them about things we are doing, when the next meeting is or if we are doing some research and need to contact you to ask about your experience.
We have a clear Confidentiality policy, information at Deaflink stays at Deaflink and we will not tell anyone that you have used our service or discuss anything you have said unless you want us to. All written information is locked in our office.
We have a database – a computer system that has the names, addresses and other information. We ask all clients for permission to have data on our computer. We pay a company to look after this information and keep it safe. The information is encrypted, they follow all good practice to stop forgery and illegal access. Only the staff have access and we have to use passwords. If you want more information about this then please contact the manager at Deaflink.
Right to access what information we have about you
You have the right of access to the information that we hold about you. You can see the information we have and you do this by making a request in writing. We will charge a fee of £10. We will give you a copy of the record within 40 days from when we got of the request and fee and an explanation of your record if you want it.
