Deaf boy has IQ 'greater than Einstein'

A 12-year-old boy has joined Mensa after achieving 162 on an IQ test, a higher score than Albert Einstein or Stephen Hawking.

Volunteer, Judith Daniel attended Freeman Road Hospital in November 2018 and identified several of the LOOP systems were not in good working order; this was reported through the appropriate channels.

Following a revisit to Freeman Road Hospital in January 2019, this situation has now been rectified.

Northern Stage – Loop/Captioning Feedback

Several of the SHHH group attended a subtitled performance of the Lovely Bones in Autumn 2018. Unfortunately this didn’t work well for some of our members as the position of the seats was directly under the captioning screen, meaning it was uncomfortable to read and impossible to read and watch the stage at the same time.

Parents of a deaf four-month-old have to pay £6,000 for sign language classes if they want to communicate with her.
